Holistic Veterinary Services
Our resident holistic practitioner, Dr. Ellis, is certified in acupuncture, herbology, food therapy and bodywork (Tuj Na). Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) blends these methods to improve overall pet wellness while addressing specific health concerns.
Acupuncture is the practice of inserting needles into the body to reduce pain or induce anesthesia. More broadly, acupuncture is a family of procedures involving the stimulation of anatomical locations on or in the skin with a variety of techniques—generally a combination of needles and electrical stimulation.
Acupuncture can be used as an adjunct to conventional medicine or with Chinese herbs to enhance relief from arthritic pain, seizures and symptoms of other major medical conditions.
Chiropractic Care Manipulative Therapies
Chiropractic care emphasizes diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The spine is of particular importance as it affects the nervous system. Dr. Ellis leverages Tuj Na bodywork and gentle chiropractic techniques to treat pain and relieve symptoms of other medical conditions.
