Kristen Schoen - Hospital Manager

Kristen Schoen first joined Bees Ferry Veterinary Hospital in 2017 as a veterinary technician and worked part time for 3 years while also working overnights at the local emergency hospital.

She then moved on to be the technician and assistant trainer for a group of local hospitals in the Lowcountry, before rejoining the Bees Ferry Veterinary Hospital team as hospital manager in the summer of 2025.

Kristen graduated with her AAS degree in veterinary technology in 2008 on Long Island, New York. She worked in various areas of veterinary medicine such as emergency, critical care, oncology and internal medicine, while slowly making her way down the east coast and before settling in Ladson, SC with her husband, three dogs and crested gecko.

Kristen is an adjunct instructor at Trident Technical College where she helps educate future veterinary technicians. She has a huge passion for emergency medicine and endocrinology. In the free time she does have, Kristen can usually be found at the beach.
