Dr. Jennah Rains - Veterinarian

Dr. Jennah Rains is a South Carolina native and joined the Bees Ferry team in 2025!

Her love for animals started at a very young age and led to her first job as an assistant dog groomer in high school, followed by volunteering with shelters and rescue organizations and working as a veterinary technician during college.

Dr. Rains obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University in 2021 and spent her clinical year at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, but her journey into veterinary medicine wasn’t a straight path. Her first degree was in Hospitality Management from the University of South Carolina (GO GAMECOCKS). After college, she spent several years working in real estate, but her heart always belonged to the animals. Eventually, she made the decision to return to school to pursue her true calling, veterinary medicine.

Professionally, Dr. Rains has special interests in dermatology and senior pet care - an area especially close to her heart. Outside of work, you’ll find Dr. Rains spending time with her husband (Gray) and their two fur-children (Kramer and Boogie Longdog). Her favorite hobbies include collecting rare plants, home improvement projects (only the fun ones), boating, following her favorite bands, bicycling, trying new foods/restaurants, and spending time on the beach.
