Michelle Mayers, VMD

Dr. Mayers has been with us since June 2000.

• Veterinary Medical Doctor from University of Pennsylvania in 2000.
• Dr. Mayers is also an associate professor of veterinary technology at Trident Technical College and she is a columnist for Veterinary Technician Magazine.

Dr. Leffler joined us in June of 2004.

Aliix has been with Bees Ferry Veterinary Hospital since March, 1996. 

• Aliix received a BA in comparative Psychology at the Univ. of Maine in 1989, an MA in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley College in 1993, and an AS in Veterinary Technology from TTC of Charlestonin 2007 .

Kim started with us September of 2001 and is a Veterinary Receptionist. 

• Special Interests: Kim manages our website and is on our Adoption Team, making sure our kitties find the best homes!
• Hobbies:  Watching tv; wrestling and Dog the Bounty Hunter are her faves!  Spending time with family & friends, shopping, music & singing & also going to the movies & KIM LOVES KITTIES!

Eva Leach

Eva joined us in June of 2001 as a Veterinary Nurse as well as Dispensary Nurse. Her special duties at the hospital include our controlled substances log. ( She makes sure your pets get the necessary  pain control.) Family/Pets: Her husband, Jay. Pets: Her white pit bull, Zeus (adopted from us) and German Shepard, Drake; six Cats: Ashes, Cole, Dusty,  Rusty & Ricky (brothers, adopted from us) & Smoke. She also has a male rabbit named Molly. Her hobbies include billiards, spending time with friends, challenging friends with  her Playstation & looking after her zoo of pets.

Brooke started with us June of 2004 & is a  Veterinary Nurse.

• Education: Brooke is working towards a degree in Veterinary Medicine.  Brooke is currently applying to Veterinary School. 
• Special Hospital Duties: Brooke is our Client Aftercare liaison.

Rachel started with us August of 2004 and is a  Nursing  Assistant as well as Receptionist and Dispensary Nurse.

• Education:  Rachel is a Certified Nutritional Advocate & is currently working towards her Veterinary Technician Certification.
• Special Hospital Duties:  Rachel is one of our photographers , she makes sure all of our patients get noticed.  Rachel is on our Adoption Team, making sure our kitties find the best homes!
• Hobbies/Personal Interests: Panther's Football & NASCAR & spending time w/ Morgan.
• Family & Pets:   Daughter: Morgan; 3 Dogs: Schnauzer: Chester, Afghan Hound: Aria and Blonde Lab: Polly ; 5 Cats: Gracie, Fraiser, Tu, Sam and Heidi (both adopted from us) and a squirrel, Sophie, who, we might add, REFUSES to be released!

Kim started with us of April of 2007 and is a Kennel Assistant and Nursing Assistant.

• Hobbies/Personal Interests: Kim spends her free time reading, boating, promoting animal rights and also Kim is highly involved in animal rescue.  Kim has a special interest in natural alternatives for pet care.
