Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the practice of inserting needles into the body to reduce pain or induce anesthesia. More broadly, acupuncture is a family of procedures involving the stimulation of anatomical locations on or in the skin by a variety of techniques. Dr. Cone incorporates the Chinese traditional methods with stimulation of acupuncture points with needles and electrical stimulation.
Acupuncture can be used as an adjunct to conventional medicine or with Chinese herbs to enhance relief from arthritic pain, seizures and symptoms of any number of major medical conditions.
Herbal Remedies
In addition to acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) incorporates exercise, bodywork,nutrition and herbal therapies. Having received her certification from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in not only acupuncture but also Chinese Veterinary Herbology, Food Therapy and specialized bodywork called Tui No; Dr. Cone is well equipped to help your pet benefit from herbal and nutritional therapies.
Chiropractic Care Manipulative Therapies
Chiropractic is a health care approach that emphasizes diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine, under the hypothesis that these disorders affect general health via the nervous system. Dr. Cone uses myofascial release in the form of Tui Na as well as gentle chiropractic techniques to make your pet feel better. She also trained with the late Pascal Evrard D.O.from Belgium in Osteopathy and incorporates these gentle techniques when indicated.
