Patients scheduled for surgery or other procedures should be admitted between 7:00am and 8:30am.  Admitting your pet takes approximately 20 minutes, so please plan accordingly.

If your pet is new to us, please bring any previous medical records and any other pertinent information about your pet. We can call your previous veterinarian for patient records, however, some facilities now require a signature from the owner to release records.

Dogs and cats being admitted for a procedure which requires anesthesia or sedation should be fasted for 12 hours prior to admission.  It is not necessary to withhold water.

Exotic animals should never have food or water withheld.

All pets must be free of external parasites (ie. fleas & ticks).  Thus, we recommend that you have administered Revolution, Advantage, Advantix, Promeris, Comfortis or Frontline within 30 days of admission.  If we see any evidence of parasites, we will treat your pet accordingly and charge your account.

We require up-to-date vaccinations or proof of satisfactory serum titers to these common diseases:

Dogs: Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Bordatella and Rabies

Cats: Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia, and Rabies

Please feel free to call the hospital anytime to check on the status of your pet.  In most cases, patients are ready to go home after 5pm.  Discharge  takes approximately 30 minutes, so  plan accordingly.
